Minor in Asian Studies
Minor and Certificates
The minor in Asian Studies is available to students in any college at UC. It requires 21 credit hours, selected from courses in the languages, social sciences, and humanities. Students may choose any courses from the list of AIST approved courses below.
1. Upon completing one or two classes for the minor or certificate, students should declare the relevant minor or certificate online.
2. Students should then complete the necessary 21 credits of coursework for the minor as noted in the ‘Undergraduate AIST minor requirements’.
3. No later than one semester before graduation, students should fill-out and return the ‘Undergraduate AIST minor requirements’ grid to the Asian Studies program director.
These tools assist students to identify course requirements and individual progress toward completion of academic programs. It is important to utilize these resources with personalized guidance from a UC academic advisor regularly to ensure timely graduation.
