Individual Work in Sociology (SOC3082)
Individual work in sociology provides you with an opportunity to develop a special project in conjunction with a faculty member. Each project must be developed, proposed in writing, and receive written acceptance from the faculty member prior to registering for this course. Such projects are undertaken at the faculty member's discretion. In order to receive credit for hours toward the major, an individual work project must be awarded a grade by a full-time department faculty member. Students may count up to a maximum of three (3) credit hours of independent study toward sociology electives. Independent study should not be used as a substitute for regularly offered courses on the same topic.
