About the Department
The Philosophy Department at the University of Cincinnati offers a full range of courses in the history of philosophy and contemporary philosophical problems. Graduate students may choose to work in either the "Traditional Track" or the "Philosophy and the Sciences Track." The latter calls for graduate work in an empirical science and culminates in an interdisciplinary dissertation.
The department sponsors a vibrant speaker series and an annual colloquium featuring multiple speakers addressing a single theme. To receive email notices of upcoming talks, please subscribe to the department's listserve list. You may subscribe at the folowing website: Philosophy Listserv.
