RALL Scholarships

Pat O'Connor Study Abroad

Pat O'Connor Grant for International Study

This grant is awarded to students planning to study abroad in a Spanish or French-speaking country on the basis of academic excellence, enthusiasm and financial need. Priority will be given to students studying in Spain and to students studying language in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, whether as majors, minors or business certificate students.

Emily Frank Adler Semester abroad

Awarded to a student entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year, with a preference for students entering their junior year, selected on the combined demonstrated characteristics or enthusiasms for French, academic excellence, and financial need.

Recipients of this award shall be eligible to receive this award for up to two (2) consecutive semesters. To be used for study in France.    

The Adler Competitive Grant for Study Abroad for students in the 4+1 Program

This Adler Competitive Grant is intended to support study abroad in France for the purpose of preparing the student for advanced study in French through the 4+1 combined BA-MA program in French. For additional information, contact Dr. Michael Gott, Director of Graduate Studies    

Edward V. Coughlin

Provides scholarships to students in A&S with a declared major of any level in Spanish.  Preference given to Cincinnatus scholarship recipients. Both financial need and academic merit will be considered when making award decisions. Funds will be used primarily to support study abroad and other Spanish speaking experiential learning experiences

Betty Jane Hull

This is an annual award to be given to a student of outstanding scholastic achievement in the sophomore or junior year, majoring or intending to major in French.

Dr. Karen L. Gould Foreign Language Endowment Fund

To provide for an undergraduate scholarship for students studying Foreign Language; with a preference given to a student studying French. Recipient(s) must have maintained a 3.0 GPA. Recipient(s) must grant permission for the release of their information to the donor.

Language Development for Summer Programs

TO APPLY: Scholarship applications for the College of Arts and Sciences students have moved to the ScholarshipUniverse tool, accessible via the Scholarship Tab in Catalyst. Use the Search option entering there the name of the scholarship/award/grant. The Undergraduate Committee of RALL will select the candidates and the awarded students will be notified from the Scholarship Universe.
