Dr. Lauren Forbes is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and the Director of the Center for Truth, Community Healing and Transformation. Her research explores organizational capacity and trust-building within community-institution partnership, emergent local food systems rooted in equity objectives, and local collective action initiatives for trauma-prevention and social value generation.  She is the principal investigator of the Homegrown study which produced the People’s Market Dashboard System- a novel low-barrier technology platform for information management within a community farmers’ market.  She is also currently co-PI on a research study about digital data governance and the co-design of digital innovations for public good.
