At UC, you’ll gain real-world experiences in an urban, media-rich landscape where you can participate in high-profile work that builds resumes and boosts careers. Our students intern at exciting media companies where they research and report front-page investigative stories, produce newscasts and podcasts and engage in social media campaigns. We have students and alumni who have won national student media contests, Emmy awards, and even the prestigious Pulitzer Prize.
Students are encouraged to get hands-on experience at The News Record, UC’s independent student news organization, and/or Bearcast Media, the student-run multimedia outlet. Work for those organizations help build portfolios and provide must-have experience to help students get internships and full-time employment.
