Public Policy Careers, Internships, & Co-Ops: Employer Partnerships
Looking to hire a UC student for an internship, co-op, part-time, or full-time position? The Portman Center and the School of Public and International Affairs seek to partner with a variety of employers, including:
- Local, state, and federal government agencies;
- Local, state, and federal elected officials;
- Law firms and courts;
- The electoral process and campaigns;
- Nonprofits and advocacy groups.
Interested employers can send job postings for disbursement to students; please email PortmanCareers@uc.edu.
Employers can also post open positions directly to the University of Cincinnati’s Handshake Career Platform.
The Portman Center also offers assistance to employers through:
- Development of internships tailored for UC students.
- Matching students with interested employers.
- The Federal Work-Study program, which provides part-time jobs for undergraduates with demonstrable financial need. Eligible employers contribute only 25% of the salary. Learn more about Federal Work-Study (FWS).
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how you can partner with the Portman Center, please contact Matt Berning, program manager for career development.
