Igor Kovač research focuses on structure of the international system, its stability, security, and great power relations – stressing the intersection between International Security and International Political Economy. One of his inquiries looks at digital currencies as a crucial threat to the contemporary US hegemony. Moreover, his resent research projects include a study on cyber strategies of the EU member states, and a review of AI tools available for cybersecurity.
Julia Schuetze is founder of Cyber Policy House BV, a start-up focused on improving cyber policies with innovative approaches. Her research focuses on cyber policies that are multi-stakeholder and multilevel governance dependent.
Current research includes:
- Bi- and multilateral cyber assistance
- Responsibilities of federal, state and local level governance for cyber resilience
- Cybersecurity of consumer products
She uses methods from public policy design, new governance and comparative political science research. By including design thinking methods, she aims to increase relevance and accessibility for current practice.
She holds a MA in European Public Policy from the University of Bath with transatlantic track at UW Seattle and a BA in Journalism and Politics from the University of Stirling.
Jelena Vićić is an Assistant Professor of International Studies in the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington. She is also an Associate Fellow at The Hague Program on International Cybersecurity at Leiden University, and a Research Affiliate at both the Center for Peace and Security Studies (cPASS) at the University of California, San Diego, and at the Center for Cyber Strategy and Policy (CCSP) at the University of Cincinnati.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of emerging technology and international conflict, with a particular focus on influence operations, national security, and strategic state competition. She employs experimental wargaming, statistical modeling, and semantic network analysis to uncover how actors use cyberspace to pursue strategic objectives, manage escalation, and influence public opinion.
Jelena holds a PhD from University of Cincinnati, MA from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, and BA from American University in Bulgaria.
