Public Policy Careers & Internships

The Portman Center for Policy Solutions and the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) offer support and resources for students seeking internships or co-ops related to public policy.

Placement opportunities include elected officials, government agencies, corporations, non-profits, courts, law firms, campaigns, and advocacy groups. These opportunities can be found in Greater Cincinnati, Columbus, OH, Frankfort, KY, Washington, D.C., and elsewhere.

The Portman Center and SPIA offer the following support to students:

  • Resources on how to prepare and search for internships
  • Professional Development Workshops
  • Annual Public Policy Career Fair (coming Spring 2026)
  • Weekly updates on available internships and positions
