Collateral Faculty Policies

With advanced notice to the dean of the appropriate college or division faculty members and librarians may engage in collateral employment. Collateral employment consists of institutional or non-institutional effort as well as work of a consulting nature. The college dean, division, library administrator or vice president must approve and agree that such employment does not interfere nor is inconsistent with the performance of the individual's university duties.

Overload Compensation Policy

According to language contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the University of Cincinnati, "Overload teaching shall be permitted only in emergency situations" (Article 13.1).
