Lucille Pederson Scholarship
In 2006, Emeritus Professor Dr. Lucille Pederson established a scholarship for communication majors interested in interpersonal and family communication. An annual essay contest is conducted to determine the winners who are recognized each year at COMMCeleb. Applicants are asked to submit an essay that:
- Describes how they currently use or hope to use lessons from interpersonal communication to make a difference.
- Explains why this scholarship would be meaningful in terms of financial need, scholastic motivation or other reasons.
Eligibility: Communication major must have achieved the rank of junior and have at least one semester left before graduation and a minimum 2.75/4.0 GPA.
Current Award: $500 toward tuition or student fees
