1. Items to be submitted online: Online Graduate Application
Please note: The University of Cincinnati has a new graduate application system this year. The new system includes the option to include a video with one’s application. Any videos included with applications to the Philosophy PhD program will NOT be taken into consideration for admission and funding decisions.
This application requires a nonrefundable $65 application fee for domestic applications and $70 for international applications, which can be paid by credit-card.
- Students are not required to submit GRE scores as part of their application, though they are encouraged. Any GRE scores submitted must be reported to the University of Cincinnati by ETS (Educational Testing Service). See the ETS website for instructions.
- Foreign applicants only: Official report of TOEFL scores must be reported to the University of Cincinnati by ETS (Educational Testing Service). See the ETS website for instructions.
Note: Photocopies of scores (sent to the address in section III below) may be used to meet the deadline, but admission will not be granted until official scores have been received from ETS.
