The Department of Women's Studies has an excellent placement record for its graduates. So prepared are our students that those going on to doctoral coursework in the expanding number of PhD programs in Women's Studies typically have PhD core coursework waived. Those entering other doctoral and professional programs are readily accepted. Those entering professional life after their MA or MA/JD have built highly successful careers.

Northern Kentucky Legal Aid, Office of the Attorney General, Rural Legal Aid

Editorial:
book editor, magazine editor, managing editor of an academic journal

Social Services:
housing specialist, coordinator of a sexual assault and domestic violence program, YWCA director, child advocate and assault prevention specialist, stay-at-home mom and crisis services volunteer

Arts:
project manager for a music education program, theater director,

feminist nonprofit agency, national women's organization, university

The department highly recommends that students gain internship/ study abroad and conference paper presentation experiences to enhance their credentials and to take advantage of networking, mentoring and research opportunities provided by faculty and the Friends of Women's Studies.
