The Charles Phelps Taft Research Center provides
research support through competitive peer-reviewed award programs and
allocations for faculty and students in ten designated Taft disciplines.
The Board of Trustees of the Charles Phelps Taft Memorial Fund has approved funding for eligible faculty (see By-Laws) from and McMicken College students majoring in the following McMicken College of Arts and Sciences departments: Anthropology, Economics, English and Comparative Literature, German Studies, History, Mathematical Sciences, Philosophy, Political Science, Romance Languages and Literatures, and Sociology.
Our mission is to promote a sustained intellectual community in the
humanities and social sciences at the University of Cincinnati; to
enhance faculty and student research; and to attract a new generation
of thinkers, who can contribute to an on-going concentration of
interest in the development of ideas.
