Pat O'Connor Grant for International Study

This grant is awarded to students planning to study abroad in a Spanish- or French-speaking country on the basis of academic excellence (a 3.5 university GPA is required), enthusiasm, and financial need. Priority will be given to students studying in Spain and to students studying language in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, whether as majors, minors, or Business Certificate students.

To apply, send your name, student number, complete mailing address, and telephone number along with the following materials to the Undergraduate Advisor in Romance Languages and Literatures by April 15: :
  1. a two-page, double-spaced essay explaining your background and experience in Spanish or French, the academic rationale for the trip, and its expected outcomes
  2. a budget and summary of your financial need
  3. a transcript
