Professional Summary

Prof. Valladares-Ruiz has taught in Canadian and Venezuelan universities (McGill University, Concordia University, Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and Universidad del Zulia). Her research and teaching interests deal with issues of identity, nationalism, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion, and marginality in the pan-Caribbean region.
