Taste and Smell Perception Lab

The Taste and Smell Perception Lab focuses on research related to normal and impaired olfaction and gestation.  Projects are currently underway to study olfactory deficits in a number of clinical populations including patients with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.  An NIH funded project to develop a novel approach to the assessment of the sense of smell, the Sniff Magnitude Test, is the focus of another line of research, along with fMRI studies of olfactory coding and work on odor memory.
