History

What is History?

The University of Cincinnati offers a small, high quality MA program. Between 0 and 15 MA students are admitted each year. Students benefit from the expertise of a renowned and research-active faculty. The program combines the resources of a major urban research university with small classes and individual mentoring. Major and minor fields on the MA include US history, European history, comparative urban history, comparative women and gender, modern China or India, Middle East history, environmental history and public history.

Freshman Admission Requirements

Each of the following play an important role in the Admission Committee’s decisions:
• 3 Letters of recommendation
• Personal statement
• Writing sample
• Transcripts
• GRE scores

The application deadline is January 17.
