The department is especially strong in philosophy of mind and philosophy of the life sciences. Please consult the department webpage for information on the strengths of individual faculty. Students in the MA program do a year of coursework and write a thesis. The degree can usually be earned within one year (including summer quarter). Students in a terminal MA program are not normally eligible for financial aid awarded by the department.
