Don Gustafson's main interests are in the philosophy of psychology. Recently
he has focused on the science of pain--neurophysiological, psychological,
pharmacological, and clinical aspects. More recently still, he has been
concerned with the question of qualia--what they are said to be, and theoretical
implications of the existence of qualia. He is currently working on the
psychology and neuroscience of conscious willing and action.
