Seminar On the City

The Seminar on the City is one of the History Department’s finest traditions – a long-running speakers’ series that every year brings accomplished scholars, authors, and activists to Cincinnati to deliver lectures on urban themes. Presentations focus on the past and present of Cincinnati and other Midwestern cities as well as on urban issues affecting the country and the world. Lectures are free and open to the public. Meetings take place at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal and are generally preceded by a catered dinner with the speaker, also held at the Museum Center. The dinner is moderately priced and open to any one interested in attending the lecture. For the schedule of lectures for 2007-2008 and more information on dinner reservations and costs, please contact Professor Judith Spraul-Schmidt (History, Raymond Walters): Phone: (513) 936-7110; E-mail: Judith.Spraul-Schmidt@uc.edu
