Minor Requirements

The History Minor requires thirty-six credit hours in History as follows:

Eighteen credit hours in two year­long survey sequences:

101 & 102 & 103 Ancient History
104 & 105 & 106 Medieval History
113 & 114 & 115 European Civilization
121 & 122 & 123 Asian Civilization
130 & 131 & 132 World History
170 & 171 & 172 History of the Middle East & North Africa
224 & 225 & 226 Latin American History
301 & 302 & 303 History of Africa (through African-American Studies)
110 & 111 & 112 American History

Three credit hours of History 300, "Introduction to Historical Thinking"; and fifteen additional credit hours at the 397 level and above in History.

Students can also pursue interdisciplinary certificates such as historic preservation.
