Edward V. Wallace is an Associate Professor in the Department of Africana Studies at the University of Cincinnati. After completing is undergraduate studies at the State University of New York College at Cortland, he earned a Masters of Public Health degree at the University of Massachusetts, School of Public Health in community health, and a doctorate in health promotion from The University of Alabama.

Research Information

Research Interests

Dr. Wallace's work in the area of health disparities began in 2001 when he organized the largest Health Symposium on Race, Health, and Culture in Upstate New York. He is the past recipient of several research grants, has published numerous articles on health behaviors of African Americans, and has presented at conferences at the local, national, and international level. Because of Dr. Wallace's work in the area of health disparities he was invited to be a participant on the planning committee for eliminating health disparities by the former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jocelyn Elders.
