Research Information

Research Interests

Changjoo (CJ) Kim earned his Ph. D. at The Ohio State University, Columbus in 2004. His research and teaching interests are in geographic information science, urban transportation, networks, location analysis, and spatial modeling. His research addresses theoretical and practical questions in urban and economic geography through the application of GIS methods. He investigates a range of urban and economic concerns including transportation, urban sprawl, commuting, airline industry, retailing, etc. His current research focuses on the spatial and temporal characteristics of urban traffic phenomena with respect to commuting.
