The Department of Economics is pleased to announce that it is looking to fill one tenure-track position. The job description is given below.

Kautz Chair in Political Economy
(Tenure-Track Senior Assistant Professor)

The Economics Department invites applications for the James C. and Caroline Kautz Chair in Political Economy, at the Senior Assistant Professor level starting September 1, 2007. A record of excellence in research and teaching, with a minimum of two years experience in both research and teaching post the Ph.D. in Economics, is required. The Chairholder will produce high-quality scholarship – with publications in leading economics journals – and teach both graduate and undergraduate economics courses. The field of specialization is open. Strong training in economic theory and econometrics and knowledge of the public choice literature are essential.
