Your History Advisor

One of the great benefits of a history major at UC is that while we are a large department with many faculty and majors, we provide a personal experience of faculty advising. As a history major, you are free to choose an advisor from among any of our full-time faculty—most students choose a professor they've taken a class with—to get advice, answer questions, and help discuss your particular interests in regards to courses you might take as well as research topics and your overall plans for the degree. We strive to make our faculty accessible and supportive to all history students. In addition, our Director of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Jason Krupar, and Director of Undergraduate Advising, Professor Susan F. Karr, are regularly available to meet with you and answer any questions you might have about the major.
