Lena K. Suter Scholarships
Each year scholarships of between $500 and $5,000 are awarded to outstanding German Studies majors and minors. An application letter outlining the applicant's reasons for choosing to study German (no more than two pages) should be submitted to the Undergraduate Director by March 1.
The Poll Prize
A cash prize of $1,000 is awarded annually to outstanding seniors majoring in German Studies. No application is necessary.
The Helga Daley Award
Students who major or minor in German Studies are eligible for a cash award of up to $500 to participate in the Munich or Berlin Study Abroad Programs. No application is necessary.
The Taft Undergraduate Enrichment Award
Students majoring in A&S Taft departments may apply for cash awards of up to $2,000 for study abroad or other departmentally approved projects. Application information is available at www.artsci.uc.edu/taft.
Taft Undergraduate Senior Research Fellowship
German Studies majors who are entering their final year of study may apply for this thesis fellowship in the amount of $3,500. More information is available at www.artsci.uc.edu/taft. Interested students should see the Undergraduate Director.

Verband der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Clubs/Federation of German-American Clubs e.V.
This year-long exchange is available to UC students who have successfully completed at least two years of college and who meet the requirements for German proficiency. The GS department recommends one student per academic year. See the Undergraduate Director for more information. www.vdac.de

DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst)

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX)
This full-year work-study scholarship program provides young Americans with an understanding of everyday life, education, and professional training in Germany. The program begins in July and includes two months of intensive language training, four months of classroom instruction at a German university or college of applied sciences, and a five-month internship in a participant's career field. email@example.com
