Minor Program Outline

Overview

The minor in geology serves to provide students with a solid foundation in the fundamental principles of geology and earth sciences, including earth and life history, physical geology, surface processes, and environmental geology.  While there are no specific requirements for entering this program, it is strongly recommended that the student take at least one semester of chemistry as well as one semester of applied calculus, calculus, or statistics before starting the program or concurrently with it.

The Department of Geology offers two minor programs:

Minor in Geology

Minor in Environmental Geology (Due to the upgrade to Catalyst, this program is not currenty available for election.  It is estimated that it will be availble by the end of February, 2017).
