A Midwest Gathering Promoting Interdisciplinary Research in Quaternary Geoscience

QGC Mission Statement:

The mission of the QGC is to promote collaboration among graduate students in the area of Quaternary science. As establishing collaborative projects and exploring technical resources (e.g. laboratories) can be imperative to a student’s success, we invite any graduate student attending a Midwest university and working on Quaternary timescales to participate in this free, two day conference hosted by the University of Cincinnati. Fields of study may include (but are not limited to): geology, physical geography, archeology, geochemistry, and environmental biology. This event will consist of talks and posters, as well as various social forums to facilitate discussions of collaboration among researchers and laboratories within about a day’s drive throughout the Midwest. Sessions will explore the ways in which Quaternary studies of chemical, physical, and biological materials contribute to our understanding of ancient, modern, and future processes.
