Assistant TA & Work Study

ATA Program

Students who have done well in a laboratory or field course may consider serving as an ATA (assistant TA) for that course in subsequent years. ATA's perform many of the tasks typically performed by graduate TA's including leading laboratory sections, preparing for class and one-on-one instruction. This program allows undergraduates to gain some teaching experience. Contact individual course instructors to ask about becoming an ATA.

Work Study

Some professors have budgets for paid research assistants. Find these opportunities by contacting faculty just as you would for course credit, or looking at postings on the Biology Listserve or the Environmental Sciences Listserve.
