University of Cincinnati Forensics Team

The University of Cincinnati Forensics Team is a nationally competitive speech and debate program.  Members of the team compete in a variety of speech events at several tournaments throughout the competitive season.  The team has traveled to such schools as the University of Wisconsin at Eau Clair, Berry College in Georgia, Indiana University/Purdue University and Butler University in Indiana, Berea College in Kentucky, The Ohio State University, Kent State University, The University of Akron and Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  The team regularly receives invitations from programs all across the nation; winter quarter tournaments include possible travel to Suffolk University in Boston and The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Travel and expenses are covered by the team budget and all students can compete at no cost to themselves.

We encourage the University of Cincinnati community to participate in events that will develop speech and debate skills, including communication, persuasion, organization, style, and delivery.  The knowledge gained will help them become better speakers, better leaders, will enhance other co-curricular involvement in the greater University community, and prepare them to be more competitive in the business/work environment.

All undergraduate students are welcome; no experience is required.  For more information please contact Wendy Larcher at larchewl@email.uc.edu or at 556-4478.
