Professional Summary

Began at UC since 1998 as a student worker, then as a graduate assistant and currently as a full time staff member. Her focus is on student retention. She has a passion for advisor training, development and retention. She created a training program for Arts and Sciences and CES advisors in 2006. She is the Convener (President) of UCUAADA, UC’s Undergraduate Academic Advisor Association. Sherry has worked as an advisor in Arts and Sciences, The Honors Scholars Program and The Center for Exploratory Studies. Prior to working at UC, she was an entrepreneur who created and ran two personnel businesses for 11 + years, which were later sold to an international recruiting firm. She was the manager of processes for that firm for 2+ years. When she is not at work, she enjoys antiquing, reading novels, people development, singing, genealogy, crossword puzzles and being with her children and grandchildren. She is currently training to become a genealogy specialist for her church.
