College Advisory Board

McMicken College's Advisory Board is designed to render advice to the dean on any matter affecting the college, including matters involving alumni relations, community relations and private support. The board typically consists of 15 to 21 members who serve for staggered, three-fiscal-year terms. A member may be reappointed to an additional term of three years, but no member may serve for more than two consecutive three-year terms.

Membership

Board members are appointed by the then-dean of the college, with notice to the board. The board may, from time to time, appoint a nominating committee to submit nominations of qualified persons for consideration by the dean. Board members are dues-paying members of the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association or have otherwise demonstrated an interest in serving both the college and the community in which the member resides.

Meetings

Board meetings are held monthly, and special meetings may be called from time to time at the request of the dean, the chairman of the board or any three members. Members are present for and actively participate in the majority of the meetings.
