Queen City Colloquia

The Queen City Colloquium —or simply, the QCC— is an annual graduate student conference hosted by the Department of History at the University of Cincinnati. Typically held in the spring term, the conference draws graduate student participants from UC's history program as well as history departments all across the Midwest. While the conference often features work on the rich history of the Ohio Valley, topics are not limited to that region. Papers from past years have focused on topics from the history of early modern Europe, colonial America, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean world.

In addition to graduate research, the QCC also invites a prominent historian each year to deliver the conference keynote address. Past speakers have included Daniel Smail of Harvard University, Nicky Gullace of the University of New Hampshire and John Mack Farager from Yale.

The QCC continues to grow in reputation and popularity with each passing year. Feel free to contact us about attending or presenting a paper.
