All UGSs must be awarded in accordance with the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences,Maximum Allowable Aid - University Graduate Scholarships, Summer 2000-01 and Autumn,Winter and Spring 2001-02 (Attachment III).

All students with stipends must have a full UGS with General Fee.

Those students who are awarded a UGS and who fail to register for 12 credit hours, will automatically be assessed tuition charges. No charges will be placed against the UGS budget.

If a full-time student's current quarter registration will place him or her above 259 graduate credit hours, the student cannot receive an award. A student who received a masters degree from another university reaches the credit hour limit at 209 graduate credits and becomes ineligible for a UGS above 209 graduate credits. (see UC, Division of Research and Advanced Studies, "Graduate Awards Manual").

UGSs must be processed electronically through the E-160 screens in UniverSIS. PAFs must be processed through the Office of Research and Advanced Studies (ML 0627).
