Re: GA Stipend Increases

The Office of Research and Advanced Studies announced recently that
each college will receive a permanent increase of 2.5% in its GA
allocation, effective immediately. The College will increase each department's
GA allocation by 2.5%. These increases must be used to enhance GA
stipend levels for continuing and/or new students and cannot be used to
generate additional GA positions. Each department's distribution of this
enhancement among its GA's is to be consistent with its policies for
the recruitment and retention of the very best students. The Office of
Research and Advanced Studies will monitor the distribution to verify
that on average the College's GA stipends did rise by 2.5%.
